RATES: $700 per day for up to two people with a $2100 minimum, except during the time around Christmas and New Year's. The holiday daily rate is $750 for two people, with a $4500 minimum. Discounts for three weeks or more.
PERIOD: Rentals may start Monday through Saturday (but not Sunday) for first time guests to Crow’s Nest. We do not accept a new rental on the same day another rental departs.

SECURITY DEPOSIT: We require a $750 security deposit to be included with your final payment to us. This will be refunded to you by check in US dollars as soon as we can determine that there are no extra charges for damage, extra laundry, cleaning or other services, telephone or walking on the roof. Upon departure you are responsible for leaving the house in order and kitchen clean. We do not charge for incidental damage such as a broken glass or dish, provided you let us know it happened so that we can get it replaced.
CANCELLATIONS: If you cancel 90 days before your rental we will refund your monies, less a $250 cancellation fee. If you cancel less than 90 days before your rental and we are able to rent Crow’s Nest for the same price and time, we will refund your monies (or portion if rental differs), less a $250 cancellation fee. If for some reason we cancel a rental, we will refund any unused portion and do what we can to find alternative housing for you on Staniel Cay. The most likely reason for us to cancel is the event or serious threat of a hurricane. September and October (which are beautiful), are considered the height of the hurricane season in The Bahamas. You are responsible for any other commitments (such as travel) you made in relation to the trip.
SUITABILITY: Staniel Cay is an out island. From time to time outages (power, water, telephone, fuel, internet) can occur. Fortunately, Crow’s Nest is mostly solar powered and uses cistern water, so the effects of the most common outages (municipal power & water) are minor. Starlink provide reliable, high-speed Internet. Homes in the out-islands may have their quirks and need tender loving care. If something breaks, it can take a while to get a replacement from Nassau or the USA. We work hard to keep Crow’s Nest in good order, have fabulous caretakers and provide instructions re how to avoid potential issues so that everyone can enjoy their vacation to the fullest We are fortunate to have Crow’s Nest and are happy to share it with others that will also take good care of the Nest. A sense of adventure, adaptability, being careful, and appreciation for the natural beauty and local culture make for the best fit. Due to the rough terrain and steep stairs to the loft, Crow's Nest may not be appropriate for persons with mobility limitations.
